Perth and

Western Australia

Western Australia is the largest state in Australia covering a total area of 2.646 million km² with a huge diversity of climates and natural attractions.  The towns are 100’s of kilometres apart and they’re not all serviced by air from the state’s capital city – Perth.  This is why Western Australia has become known as the road trip state.  You’ll need a vehicle to start exploring this state.

In the south, the weather is more Mediterranean with cool wet winters and hot dry summers.  You’ll find plenty of white beaches with varying degrees of surf conditions.  Some are perfect for the experienced surfer and others are so calm your toddler will be able to stay upright.  Inland you’ll discover farming pastures, vineyards and giant forests of trees.

As you drive further north the weather becomes more tropical with hot and humid summers; so the perfect time to explore this region is during the warm and mild winters.  The landscape changes too.  Inland there are lots of enormous farming pastures and baron deserts. Whilst on the coast you will be able to swim and snorkel on beautiful reefs and hike through stunning gorges.

Now let’s get into the nitty-gritty and discover things to do and places to stay in Western Australia with these inspiring travel guides.
